Hanna Michalska was born in 1963 in Torun. She studied at the Print Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She deals with print, drawing and painting. She uses etching as a printing technique. She belongs to the artistic group TE7EM. She had individual exhibitions and took part in many group shows as well. She won Grand Prix at the Galicia Competition organised by the Austrian Consulate in Cracow and was rewarded with Grand Prix (twice) and Distinctions at the Best Print of Month (Cracow, 1993, 1994).
The artist had an individual exhibition in Jan Fejkiel Gallery. She also took part in collective shows organised by the gallery, i.a.: Stone, Metal, Wood, Computer ,Cracow Expo Center(1994); The Alternative Graphic, JFG (1995, Cracow); The Element and the Method, Galerie de la C.G.E.R. (1996, Liege), Centrum Manggha (1997, Cracow).
